PROVIDING SOLUTIONS FOR EVERYONE ON THE PATH TOWARDS NET ZERO

Schools and universities are massive consumers of energy, and the money currently being spent on excessive energy bills, we believe, would be better spent on the student’s education. The children of today are in the unenviable position of fixing the mistakes of the past generations. It is our mission to best prepare them to meet this challenge head on and arm communities with the knowledge necessary to become carbon resilient. We do this by combining our specialist energy guidance for their school with fun, interactive educational packages that provide ready-made learning resources to teachers that educate in an innovative, engaging way to suit the learning styles of children today.

Schools can follow AYG’s five step energy management plan to help reduce their energy consumption.

Step one:

We recommend installing a property monitoring system to fully understand the behaviours of the building, including the behaviours of the people internally. A more in-depth, detailed report is then compiled by analysing the data collected. By gaining a true understanding of the building’s performance, we can create an action plan of measures we can undertake.

Step two:

To run alongside our retrofit operations, we provide an educational course with ready made learning resources that teachers can use to teach students all about living sustainably and how students can improve their carbon footprint.

Step three:

Our expert assessors will visit the site and make a preliminary report on the current condition and makeup of the building. The report will include information on the current heating type, the construction type, window type, etc. From this, we can analyse the findings and find initial short-term solutions that will provide an improvement in energy efficiency within 3 months.

Step four:

High Aims LTD will provide detailed analysis on the energy usage and consumption of the building for the 12 months following the introduction to the property monitoring system. This will show the improvement/ change that the installation of the new technologies and the change in behaviours have had.

Step Five:

It is at this point we begin to introduce the energy efficiency measures that have been recommended in the report. This may include fabric first measures such as external wall insulation, upgrades to roof insulation and then the installation on low carbon energy efficiency technologies.
